OMNIPLEX World Services Corp. has won a potential $51.1 million contract to deploy protective security officers for the Transportation Security Administration at various locations in Maryland and Northern Virginia.

The firm-fixed-price contract, won through a recompete, contains one base year and four option years, OMNIPLEX said Nov. 26.

“This is an exciting win for OMNIPLEX,” said Mike Santelli, the company’s president and chief operating officer.

“It sustains one of our long-standing contracts, and is a testament to the true partnership that exists between the company and TSA, as we strive to support them in achieving their national security mission,” Santelli added.

OMNIPLEX is owned by private equity firm Altamont Partners and has provided security services to TSA for nine years.
