Research and consulting firm MarketsandMarkets has released a new report that analyzes and forecasts the trends for the government cloud market from 2013 to 2018.
Information technology and software services providers will find business opportunities as governments shift spending on data center and cloud services, MarketsandMarkets said Thursday.
Government agencies will continue to transition to cloud computing platforms for sharing infrastructure, software and data, as well as adopt services for managing information, the market research firm says.
The report also says monthly expenditures can be predicted through an operating expense model compared to the capital expenditure model.
MarketsandMarkets also predicts the Asia Pacific and Middle East and Africa regions to become the largest markets for government cloud in 2018.
The research firm says government cloud revenue in North America and Europe will grow over the next five years.
