Air France has selected a Hewlett Packard cloud management platform to monitor physical and virtual cloud computing resources across the airline’s enterprise.
The French carrier uses HP’s Cloud Service Automation system with Operations Orchestration and Server Automation software programs to automate application deployments and server provisioning in a private cloud network, HP said Jan. 14.
“Businesses are increasingly interested in cloud solutions that can improve flexibility, enable new business processes and increase efficiency,†said Jean-Marc Defaut, cloud director at HP France.
The HP cloud platform is built to manage operating systems, middleware, monitoring apps and other enterprise information technology systems.
HP intends for its technology to help Air France reduce the cost of IT system provisioning by up to 85 percent.
