John Rader serves as the vice president of electronic and sensor solutions of the electronic and information solutions division at Boeing Network and Space Systems, where he manages the division’s electronic warfare portfolio.
Rader focuses on EW technologies related to surface, subsurface, land and airborne communications and signal intelligence sensors for the company’s C4ISR offerings.
Programs under his oversight include include the Enhanced Medium Altitude Reconnaissance and Surveillance System and Ship’s Signal Exploitation Equipment.
He joined Boeing in 2004 as director of systems engineering and integration in the Boeing Space Exploration Systems organization.
Rader most recently served as a vice president at Bell-Boeing Tiltrotor Systems and led the study, design, production and sustainment of tiltrotors in the international market.
At the same time, he served as the Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey aircraft VP and general manager.
The 28-year U.S. Marine Corps veteran completed a three-year tour in the multi-service F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Program Office before joining the private sector.
Rader holds a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy.
