Cubic Defense Systems has been awarded more than $12 million in contracts to supply equipment for training fighter pilots to Japan’s military.
Japan ordered additional Cubic-made rangeless air combat training systems for the Asian nation’s airmen to practice tactical air-to-air and air-to-ground maneuvers, Cubic said Tuesday.
The Cubic ACTS is built with GPS technology that works to gather real-time feedback during a mission flight exercise.
Other ACTS features include airborne instrumentation pods and an individual combat aircrew display system for debriefing sessions.
Cubic’s technology is used at bilateral military aerial drill sites such as the Talisman Sabre in Australia, Red Flag in Alaska and Cobra Gold in Thailand.
