Carlos Fernandes has been named director of Salient Federal Solutions’ cybersecurity center of excellence where he will be responsible for the company’s cybersecurity strategy and growing the innovations offered by the CSCoE, Salient said Thursday.
Fernandes served as founder, managing principal and CEO of cybersecurity consulting services company Agile Cyber Security Solutions prior to the Salient role.
“With his depth and breadth of Information Assurance and Cyber Security experience paired with his entrepreneurial mindset, Carlos brings a fresh perspective to our Cyber Security space,†said Bill Parker, COO of Salient.
Fernandes, a 21- year information security veteran, also served as an Air Force intelligence applications officer during Desert Shield and Desert Storm, according to Salient.
