Carestream will engineer radiography systems for the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and other federal agency users seeking to access X-ray results, Carestream said Thursday.
The company’s wireless detectors are built to be compatible with new and existing imaging systems, while the computed radiography systems are designed for imaging workflows.
Radiologists use Carestream’s imaging software to locate soft tissue in the chest, while physicians check the position of tubes and lines for treating patients.
Healthcare providers use the technology to move digital radiography detectors among X-ray imaging systems throughout a facility, Carestream says.
The extension ends Dec. 15, 2014 and is part of a six-year contract.Â
