Boeing delivered the first B-1 bomber to the U.S. Air Force equipped with Boeing’s Integrated Battle Station on Jan. 21.
The additions to the bomber include full color displays, moving maps and a new diagnostics system, according to a company statement.
Boeing’s upgrades are meant to provide the aircraft’s crew with improved communications capabilities, situational awareness and enemy target engagement.
The installation of the battle station system took place at Tinker Air Force Base, Okla. and the finished aircraft was delivered to Dyess Air Force Base, Texas.
