Benson Schliesser has been appointed a distinguished engineer within the chief technology officer’s office at Brocade Communications, The VAR Guy reported Thursday.
Chris Talbot writes that Schliesser joins the company from Juniper Networks, where he served as a distinguished engineer and director of the CTO office’s platform systems division.

Schliesser has also served as the chairman of the Network Virtualization Overlays Group of the Internet Engineering Task Force, according to the report.
