BAE Systems will rename its cybersecurity business unit Detica as the defense and aerospace company looks to expand its footing in markets beyond the public sector, Bloomberg reported Thursday.
Robert Wall writes that Detica will become BAE Systems Applied Intelligence at the end of the month.
BAE will offer network security management services to government clients as well as customers in the utility, financial services and communications industries through Applied Intelligence, according to Wall’s article.
The publication reports BAE has partnered with Vodafone Group Plc to deliver a data security platform for mobile device users and with Canadian National Insurance Crime Services to build technology for detecting insurance fraud.
