Siemens has introduced a new managed security program in an effort to help companies in the manufacturing and industrial segments defend against cyber threats.
The company aims to use its industrial cybersecurity experience and help clients evaluate their security postures, guard industrial control systems and deploy recommended security methods, Siemens said Wednesday.
“Global cyber threats are rapidly evolving, and it also takes continuous and comprehensive action to protect production environments,“ said Jagannath Rao, president of industry customer services at Siemens.
Rao added Siemens intends to help clients focus on their core business concerns while the company implements the security platform.
The managed security service is designed to support the manufacturing market’s lifecycle, help maximize plant uptime and prevent interruptions and cyber attacks that could damage ICS environment, health and safety of the industry.
The service will be available first in the U.S. and then Europe and Asia.
