Satya Nadella, cloud services chief at Microsoft, plans to stay with the company after outgoing CEO Steve Ballmer retires, Bloomberg reported Sunday.
Marie Mawad and Caroline Hyde write that Nadella told Bloomberg TV in Paris that he “absolutely” wants to remain with the company for the long term.
Bloomberg reports Nadella is among the favorites on a list of potential candidates to succeed Ballmer.
Nadella also told Bloomberg that ongoing dialogue with customers in France has indicated the demand for data privacy is growing.
