Mike Buratowski will succeed Jim Jaeger as vice president of cybersecurity services at General Dynamics Fidelis Cybersecurity Solutions as Jaeger moves into the newly-created role of chief cyber services strategist.
Jaeger will lead a team that will work with customers to understand their cyber ecosystems and establish a baseline of normal operations on their network, General Dynamics said Tuesday.
The team will also provide clients real-time monitoring services for identifying and mitigating threats.
“With more than a quarter century of experience in the cyber domain, Jim understands the far-reaching consequences of a breach and is a trusted source in our industry,” said Peter George, president of General Dynamics Fidelis Cybersecurity Solutions.
“He’s an expert in cyber forensics, has in-depth knowledge of incident response and first-hand experience with the pursuit and successful prosecution of cyber criminals,” George added.
Buratowski will lead a team of forensics personnel as they work to help customers prevent, contain and clean up breaches.
“Mike’s experience supporting the federal government coupled with his tenure as a police detective in the Computer Crimes Unit make him uniquely qualified to help customers build a robust cybersecurity solution that is interoperable, scalable and effective in the war against cyber adversaries,” George said.
