Marybeth Wootton has served as chief executive of Arlington, Va.-based Berico Technologies LLC since May 2011, when she was promoted from her previous role as senior vice president of services.

Earlier this year, the 20-year industry veteran was nominated for an Annual Heroines in Technology Award from the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association’s chapter in Northern Virginia.

She holds a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Harvard University and an M.B.A. in finance, operations and strategic management from the Wharton School of Business.

Wootton started her career at PwC and worked there for 10 years in roles such as federal projects manager, then transitioned to IBM in 2001 in an account executive role after IBM acquired PwC’s consulting business.

At IBM, she helped lead business development for intelligence and civilian customers.

Wootton joined BAE Systems in 2005, where she was initially served as VP of performance excellence, then became VP of the strategy team in 2009.

During 2010, Wootton served as VP  built relationships with the State Department, U.S. Agency for International Development and the intelligence community.

Wootton is a member of AFCEA and the Project Management Institute.
