NTT DATA has chosen a Procera Networks offering for plans to develop a product for examining enterprise network traffic and use.
Procera’s Network Application Visibility Library will be used to build NTT DATA’s network traffic analytics technology, the companies said Monday.
“NTT DATA’s selection of NAVL as the engine of choice for their probe development demonstrates the power behind Procera’s technology and also represents an important new customer for Procera in Japan,” said James Brear, president and CEO at Procera Networks.
The product will work to monitor and secure networks, analyze traffic and process and examine big data.
NAVL is designed as a deep packet inspection engine in a software development kit, aimed at providing Layer-7 classification of network traffic data for policy and application control as well as trend and data analysis.
