Dell has granted nearly $2.4 million for science, technology, engineering and mathematics programs in 26 organizations in 11 states across the country.
The donation is part of the company’s Powering the Possible for Communities Youth Learning Initiative and will benefit 27,000 children and 1,500 teachers, Dell said Wednesday.
“We believe that providing the right tools, technology, and approach can have a dramatic impact on the future of a child,” said Jon Phillips, director of worldwide education at Dell.
Some of the organizations include Skillpoint Alliance in Austin; Urban League, Oklahoma City; Youth Villages, Nashville, Tenn.; and the Girl Scouts USA.
“Dell“™s Youth Learning Initiative is incredibly important to our team members and the communities where we live and work. We are especially excited about this year“™s partners, each of whom embodies our commitment to using technology to empower children and enable the success of future generations,” said Trisa Thompson, Dell corporate responsibility vice president.
