Science Applications International Corp. has won a potential $118 million contract to provide engineering services for an LSB Industries project in Arkansas.
SAIC will help LSB design, build and manage an ammonia plant at the 150-acre El Dorado Chemical Co., under the two-year contract, SAIC said Tuesday.
James Moos, an SAIC senior vice president and group general manager, said the company intends to help self-sustain LSB’s products through its engineering, procurement and construction services.
SAIC will help LSB procure and construct the plant’s foundations, structural steel, electrical and instrumentation, while also helping manage the project’s cost and scheduling.
The plant is intended to produce 1,350 tons of ammonia per day as feedstock for the facility’s units and other customers, SAIC said.
