SalesforceLogoJohn V. Roos, a former CEO of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, and Robin Washington of Gilead Sciences, have joined the board of directors at Salesforce.com.

Their appointments took effect Sept. 10 and they succeed former VeriSign CEO Stratton Sclavos and former General Motors Corporate Vice President Shirley Young, Salesforce.com said Sept. 12.

Roos worked at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati for more than 25 years until 2009, when he assumed the role of U.S. ambassador to Japan and he served in that position until month.

Washington, currently a senior VP and chief financial officer Gilead Sciences, also held high-level positions  at other companies such as Oracle subsidiary Hyperion Solutions and PeopleSoft.
