CA tech logo_GovconexecCA Technologies will donate $50,000 to an online charity supports students and initiatives of underprivileged schools in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math.

The company will continue its partnership with DonorsChoose.org and the funds are intended for learning materials and classroom projects at schools in nine U.S. states, CA Technologies said Thursday.

DonorsChoose.org and CA aim to help address the financial needs of educational institutions and help students gain knowledge and skills for future careers.

“Expanding STEM learning is a top priority for our company. Through this initiative, our goal is to ensure teachers and students have the tools they need to succeed,“ said Erica Christensen, CA vice president of corporate social responsibility.

Charles Best, DonosChoose.org, founder, said the grants cover nearly 5,000 students and will be used to purchase microscopes, robotics kits and other STEM learning materials.

CA has donated $150,000 to DonorsChoose.org to date, the company says.
