Gregory Nixon serves as senior vice president and chief legal officer at CH2M Hill, a position he was appointed to in Fall 2013.
In that role, Nixon leads a global legal team and risk management professionals.
He served as SVP, general counsel and corporate secretary at DynCorp International and led that company’s global affairs before joining CH2M Hill.
Prior to joining DynCorp, Nixon was VP, associate GC and assistant secretary at McKinsey & Company, where he provided global counsel on a wide array of legal and compliance matters to the highest levels of the firm.
Before joining McKinsey, he was principal and associate GC at Booz Allen Hamilton, where he served as the lead legal counsel for its global commercial technology, enterprise strategy and organizational change markets.
Earlier in his career, Nixon practiced law at the international law firm of Howrey, LLP, where his practice focused on complex litigation, antitrust and intellectual property matters.
Nixon previously worked with Congress as a supervisory congressional investigator and auditor for the Government Accountability Office, where he led congressional investigations related to global economic and fiscal policies, international trade, misappropriation of federal funding and ethics violations.
He is an active member of the District of Columbia Bar Association and the Maryland State Bar Association. Additionally, he is an active member of the American Bar Association and served on the editorial board of the ABA Public Contract Law Journal.
Nixon is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserve where he was a senior member of the Judge Advocate General“™s Corps stationed at the Pentagon. His decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
He received his J.D. degree from the Georgetown University Law Center.
