URS holds a position on a potential $800 million contract to provide construction services to the U.S. Navy in response to contingencies.
The company is one of four awardees of the potential five-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, URS said Wednesday.
The contract contains one base year and four option years (click here for GovCon Wire’s coverage of the award).
Gary Jandegian, president of infrastructure and environment at URS, said the company has worked with the military on various construction and engineering projects around the globe.
URS will perform work to support humanitarian assistance and disaster recovery projects as part of the agreement.
Additionally, URS may be required to deliver initial base operating support alongside construction efforts.
