Mitchell Morris, M.D. has been appointed national providers practice leader at Deloitte, where he most recently served as chief of the health information technology group.
He will provide health industry clients advice and recommendations on how to address financial and operational challenges, Deloitte said Wednesday.
Morris succeeds Russ Rudish, who was appointed direct0r of the international health care practice of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Ltd.
Deloitte says Morris also serves as a biomedical informatics adjunct professor at the University of Texas Health in Houston and contributes to a number of media outlets such as the Financial Times and the Washington Post.
He also held scholastic and senior executive positions at the MD Anderson Cancer Center and several non-profit organizations before joining Deloitte.
