Northrop Grumman will host a media briefing to discuss current logistics trends and issues in the aerospace and defense industry.
Northrop will start the event at 10 a.m. Tuesday and host the forum at the National Press Club in Washington, the company said Monday.
Seventy percent of a military system’s costs are in sustaining and modernizing that product over its entire life cycle and the remaining 30 percent is for research, development and production, the company says.
The company will post live updates of the discussion on its official Twitter account and stream the event via a webcast (click here for the stream).
Company leaders set to attend the event include:
- Christopher Jones, Northrop corporate vice president and president of the technical services sector
- Jim Zortman, sector VP of global logistics and operational support for the aerospace systems sector
- Steve Hogan, sector VP and general manager of the technical services sector’s integrated logistics and modernization division
- Thomas Moore, director of engineering and logistics for the electronic systems sector
