A General Dynamics business unit in Europe has won a contract for an undisclosed amount from the German Procurement Agency to build and deliver 100 vehicles.
Spain-based General Dynamics European Land Systems will start delivering the EAGLE V vehicles in 2013 and could continue through 2015 if the agency exercises an option for 76 additional vehicles, the company said Friday.
The unit will manufacture the vehicles at facilities in Switzerland and Germany,
General Dynamics will build the EAGLE V vehicles for German’s GFF Klasse 2 program with the goal of updating the country’s current current EAGLE IV fleet.
EAGLE V vehicles feature a modular system that works to protect against improvised explosives, ballistic threats and mines.
