Capgemini UK has launched a new business unit that will focus on supporting governments and public organizations in their digital transformation projects.
The Capgemini Digital Government unit will provide life-cycle offerings for digital transformation such as consultancy and project management services, Capemini said Monday.
Capgemini vice president Matt Howell will serve as the new unit chief.

Howell will report directly to Bill Cook, Capgemini Consulting UK CEO and Capgemini UK Government Business head.
Cook said the company will offer public sector services such as “consultancy on overall strategy, channel management and business process transformation through website and systems design, project implementation and monitoring of results.”
The company said the new business unit will support the UK Cabinet Office in its goal to save approximately $2.8 billion through going digital.
Currently possessing 150 personnel, Capgemini expects to have a total of 300 employees by the end of 2014.
