Lockheed Martin has released the concept design for a new carrier-based drone that will allow for 24/7 intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance support, according to a Defense Update article.
The new design for the unmanned carrier launched airborne surveillance and strike air vehicle will integrate F-35C, RQ-170 and other drone system technologies.
Tamir Eshel writes that the Skunk Works operation is designing the drone that will have advanced signature control, multi-spectral stealth and communications and bandwidth management.
The new drone will also have an open source architecture design.
