Hewlett-Packard has secured a $15 million investment from Computer Sciences Corp. for a new managed security services program HP security business executives are preparing to launch.
HP enterprise security executives Rick Hanson and Eli Kalil will unveil the channel restructuring and managed services provider program for HP’s ArcSight security, information and event management product line and its Fortify security software within the next six months, CRN reported Friday.
Kalil told CRN the program aims to forge partnerships with MSPs to help them to deploy HP“™s subscription-based security products to small and medium enterprises.
Robert Westervelt writes Kalil, vice president of HP enterprise security global sales channels, and Hanson, vice president of global sales and field operations at HP enterprise security, recently served as executives at RSA before joining HP in 2012 to restructure its partner program.
In November 2012, the two implemented a new pro-channel structure for security software, where 420 HP security software direct sales representatives will be compensated for all sales through HP’s solution providers.
