Science Applications International Corp. has won a contract worth up to $54 million to provide technical and engineering support to the U.S. Navy, the company said Monday.

The U.S. Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific awarded SAIC the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract with a two-year base and three one-year options.

SAIC will perform technical and engineering support for maritime ISR (intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance) and information operations and existing Navy and joint C4ISR systems (command, control, communications, computers).

The McLean,Va.-based firm’s contract work could include:

  • program and configuration management
  • systems engineering
  • algorithm development
  • hardware and software development
  • material analysis
  • data processing
  • testing, repair, installation, deployment and recovery

SAIC will perform work in San Diego, Calif.
