Lockheed Martin has produced a second F-35 for the Netherlands in its F-35 production facility, according to a company statement.
The F-35 manufacturer announced Thursday that its rollout of the new jet is “the latest step in the production process leading to its eventual assignment at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. later this summer.“
The Netherlands will use the conventional takeoff and landing jet for training and operations tests for pilots and maintainers.
AN-2 will be subjected to functional fuel system checks prior to ground and flight tests that are to take place later this year.
