
Linda Gooden, executive vice president of Lockheed Martin‘s information systems and global solutions business, has been elected to the boards of directors of Washington Gas and its parent company WGL Holdings, effective April 1
The news follows a Lockheed announcement in January that she will retire from her position at Lockheed April 1 and from the company May 1, WGL said Friday.
Gooden is a Career Communications hall of famer, belongs to the Fortune 50 Most Powerful Women in Business and the Black Enterprise 2009 100 Most Powerful Executives in Corporate America lists and was a presidential appointee to the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee in 2010.
She also serves on the board of trustees for Eisenhower Fellowships and on the board of regents for University Systems of Maryland.
Gooden also serves on boards for the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association International, TechAmerica and Automatic Data Processing Inc.
