DELL_TNNIDell has introduced a new suite of services aimed at helping clients develop strategies for responding to demand for mobility applications.

The mobility services workshop portfolio aims to complement Dell’s existing products and services for connected devices, bring your own device platforms and enabling software, Dell said Monday.

Services under the portfolio include consulting, developing mobile applications, testing and management, maintenance, support, deployment and tools.

Industries are managing information technology across multiple devices and platforms and under security requirements, Dell says.

“Defining a strong mobility strategy is one of the critical requirements for our customers as they look at enterprise mobility solutions to enable organizational productivity, employee engagement and customer experience,“ said Raman Sapra, a Dell executive director for applications and business process outsourcing.

Sapra said Dell is aiming to either help enterprises manage their mobile solutions or handle these services on customers’ behalf.

Dell will recommend applications and strategy for custom applications on platforms such as iOS, Android, Blackberry and Windows 8.

Application management and testing services aim to help devices comply with security requirements, the company says.
