Digital marketing and development firm Blue Water Media is building a new website for the Department of Veterans Affairs office responsible for certain projects costing more than $10 million as the VA looks to better distribute information and engage with the public.
The office of construction and facilities management plans to use www.cfm.va.gov to improve its program efficiency and Blue Water Media will work to make the site user-friendly by recruiting target users and conducting focus groups.
The Washington-based information technology, web design and interactive marketing firm will begin its contract work at its headquarters and a VA site by analyzing the office’s current website and information architecture prior to engaging in this “usability analysis.”
One of its target outcomes will be to provide recommendations for future content organization and design so the website can evolve to meet stakeholder needs over time. As part of this effort, it will help the CFM Web Manager test, analyze and evaluate the site for achieving site goals.
Blue Water Media said it will deploy a team that has previously engineered federal government websites and online applications for the work. The company also manages web, mobile and social media properties for Fortune 500 companies and nonprofit organizations.
The company also helps clients form digital strategies, develop applications and run both mobile initiatives and digital marketing campaigns.
