aHP-TNNIHewlett-Packard has selected Toronto, Ontario-based Wavefront to resell its software that is meant to enable large enterprises to test, automate and monitor mobile applications across a wide variety of devices, according to a Wavefront statement.

James Maynard, Wavefront president and CEO, said the new partnership links HP’s unified functional testing and quick test professional suites with Waverfont“™s perfecto mobile cloud-based mobile testing and monitoring services.

The service can be accessed remotely or on-site, with direct connection to more than 1,000 handsets, smartphones and tablets available for testing on live global networks.

“HP Canada is extremely happy and excited to announce our strategic partnership with Canada’s Centre of Excellence for Wireless Commercialization and Research ““ Wavefront,“ said Frances Newbigin, vice president and general manager for enterprise software and solutions at HP Canada.

Newbigin said he hopes the collaboration will further promote the company“™s enterprise-class testing, monitoring and security portfolio in the mobile application delivery market.

HP is participating as a sponsor and exhibitor at the ongoing Wavefront wireless summits in Vancouver.
