Accenture (NYSE: ACN) announced that it has successfully assisted Shanghai East Hospital in implementing a Hospital Resource Planning system.
“We are honored to be leveraging our deep industry knowledge and project management skills to help Shanghai East Hospital achieve more efficient business operations as it strives to build a leading, intelligent and digital hospital,“ said Bo Wang, who leads Accenture's health and public service business in Greater China.
Accenture helped the hospital introduce the HRP system to optimize business processes and enhance operating efficiency through closed-loop materials management and full-cost financial accounting.
The HRP system provides logistics management, materials management, cost accounting, budget management and other business functions.
“We are very pleased to work with Accenture and are more than satisfied with the outcome of our long-term cooperation,“ said Liu Zhongmin, director of Shanghai East Hospital.
According to Accenture, it also helped the hospital design a roadmap for building its IT infrastructure and introduced the analysis and assessment model established by the U.S. Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society.
