Verizon will hold a $10 million innovation competition to seek ideas in the education, healthcare and sustainability arenas, Chairman and CEO Lowell McAdam announced in a speech earlier this month.
The company said it will start the competition March 31 and release rules and details of the competition on its corporate webpage at a later date.
“We want to unite the brightest minds with cutting-edge, connected technology to have a profound impact on our global society,” said David Small, chief platform officer for the enterprise solutions business.
Verizon will announce a winner of the Powerful Answers Award next year at the CES Show in Las Vegas.
