SAIC Wins $17M to Support Coast Guard Health Information System; Steve Comber Comments - top government contractors - best government contracting eventScience Applications International Corp. has won a $17 million task order under the EAGLE Master Agreement to provide services and materials for operational support of the U.S. Coast Guard integrated health information system, according to a company statement.

“We“™re pleased to support a valued customer in the U.S. Coast Guard and Department of State by providing critical IT services, integrating patient health records into one consolidated platform, and centralizing help desk support for the IHiS,“ said Steve Comber, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager.

The contract calls for operational support of the USCG IHiS, including:
·         information technology services
·         help desk support
·         composite Health Care System sustainment

SAIC is also expected to provide data center support, including system availability and maintenance, failover site operations, configuration management, performance and security monitoring, wireless network operations and mobile device management.

The contract includes one base year, one 12-month option and one nine-month option.

Work for the contract will be performed primarily in Falls Church, Va., San Diego, Calif., and the designated U.S. Coast Guard operations systems center.

The IHiS will provide USCG and Department of State beneficiaries access to their health records and support healthcare operations for these organizations.
