SAIC Wins $21M Navy Operations Contract; Tom Watson Comments - top government contractors - best government contracting eventSAIC has won a firm fixed-price contract to provide operational and environmental assistance to the U.S. Navy.

According to a company statement, the single-award $21 million deal involves deploying solutions at several of the U.S. Fleet Forces Command (USFF) and Pacific Command“™s training facilities for a one year period.

Tom Watson, who heads SAIC“™s defense and maritime solutions business unit, welcomed the deal, which has an option to be extended for up to four more years.

“We look forward to continuing to provide the USFF (U.S. Fleet Forces Command) with the critical operational and environmental support needed to enable the fleet to execute its operational training schedule while protecting the maritime environment,” he said.

As part of the contract, SAIC will ensure that fleet training requirements are met while strictly adhering to environmental laws, acts, statutes and policies.
