Kratos Defense & Security Solutions won an Americas M&A Atlas Award for its acquisition of Composite Engineering in July, Kratos announced Tuesday.
The company said a group of independent advisers selects the finalists and winner of the “M&A Aerospace & Defense Services Deal of the Year” award based on closed deals each year.
“With CEI, the majority of Kratos’ business today is specialty C5ISR focused, with particular emphasis in the unmanned aerial drone, electronic warfare, satellite communications, missile system and BMD priority national security areas,” said Ed Lake, vice president of corporate development.
The company accepted the award from the Global M&A Network at a gala ceremony in New York City.
The annual Americas M&A Atlas Awards recognize deals, deal-makers and firms from the North and South Americas mid-market M&A communities.
