Kratos Defense & Security Solutions has won a $1.5 million contract from the U.S. Naval Education and Training Command to provide four new distance learning courses to aid in the career development of Navy chaplains and religious programs specialists, according to a company statement.
Distance learning courses puts the user at the center of the training by utilizing an open source, collaborative learning deployment environment with synchronous, online and facilitated learning events.
“Kratos is excited to build on our rich history of blending ILT, IMI, online collaboration tools and social learning to create dynamic training program with this new program at the Navy learning center,” said Dan Dunaway, Senior vice president of Kratos training solutions.
According to the company statement, all four courses will be developed for delivery using a blend of live instructor-led training, self-paced interactive multimedia instruction and collaborative learning events.
The learning events will include:
- online and facilitated events
- discussion boards
- demonstration videos
- live chat
- project discussion forums
Kratos was recently chosen as part of the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division‘s $780 million data training products contract vehicle.
