Harris Corp. has won $12 million in orders from two African countries for Falcon tactical radio systems and field support, Florida Today reports.
The company won the orders for the Falcon III RF-7800V VHF and Falcon II RF-5800H HF tactical radio systems during the first quarter of its 2013 fiscal year.
According to the report, the unidentified countries will use the systems to provide the armed forces with line-of-sight and beyond-line-of-sight tactical voice and data communications.
Items covered under the order include base stations, vehicular systems, manpack and handheld radios, support training, installation and field support services.
The report said all military radio sales must be approved by the U.S. State Department.
