General Dynamics’ information technology unit has won a $94.4 million task order to provide the U.S. Marine Corps technology for the branch’s C4ISR networks (command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance).

The company said the systems will provide Marine Corps intelligence units information and communications links worldwide.

“C4ISR systems are a critical piece of the U.S. Marine Corps intelligence program and global security as a whole,“ said Tom Kirchmaier, senior vice president and general manager of GDIT’s intelligence solutions division.

Work will occur in at Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan; Camp Pendleton, Calif.; Camp Lejeune, N.C.; Okinawa, Japan; Dam Neck, Va.; Tampa, Fla.; Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii; Stafford, Va.; and Bahrain.

GDIT has helped defense and intelligence community customers manage their IT systems for more than 40 years, including the Air Force’s Distributed Common Ground Systems.

The company received the task order under the Defense Intelligence Agency‘s Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise contract, or SITE.

Under an $178 million SITE task order, the company is providing DIA enterprise communication services.
