CACI International is developing curriculum for a Naval Sea Systems Command shipyard training and education program, the company announced Monday.

The company announced it won a $21.5 million task order, containing one base year and two option years, through the Navy’s Seaport II Enhanced contract vehicle.

President and CEO Dan Allen said the company has worked with NAVSEA for 20 years and through six contract re-competes to train civilian and military personnel at naval facilities in the U.S. and international locations.

Workforce development is a primary goal of the Naval Shipyard Training and Education Program, said Chief Operating Officer John Mengucci.

Curriculum covers strategy development, integrated team skills and team building, learning organization, interpersonal skills and communications.

Graduates work on the Navy“™s nuclear-powered ships to help return them on time and within budget, the company said.

According to CACI, nearly 27,000 people have graduated from the company’s programs.

Naval shipyards collectively perform an estimated $4 billion in business per year with a 29,000-strong workforce.

The company is also testing ballistic missile program software for the Navy.
