Science Applications International Corp. has won a potential $61 million prime contract to provide communications systems support services to the U.S. Navy, the company announced today.
The U.S. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific awarded SAIC the single-award contract to render life-cycle command, control, communications, computers and intelligence services to support the Network Integration Engineering Facility.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a one-year base option worth $21 million and two one-year option periods which add up to a potential ceiling value of $61 million, according to the announcement.
SAIC“™s work would cover life-cycle C4I services including packaging, integration, environmental qualification design and testing, deployment, and electronic and computer systems for the Defense Department and other agencies.
Thomas Watson, SAIC SVP and business unit general manager, said SAIC will continuously support SSC Pacific and the NIEF with C4I systems design, testing, deployment and life cycle services to help ensure information superiority.
Work under the contract will occur primarily in San Diego, Calif.
The Navy“™s SSC Pacific serves as the research, development, test and evaluation laboratory for command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance.
