In-Q-Tel and Adaptive Computing are teaming up to create an operating system for private cloud computing infrastructures in the intelligence community.
In-Q-Tel said the companies will work to integrate Adaptive’s Moab cloud management suite with an open source private cloud platform to
enable organizations adopt private cloud technology in a wider range of applications.
The companies want to reach both the government and commercial markets, said Robert Ames, IQT’s senior vice president for the information and communication technologies practice.
According to In-Q-Tel, Moab platforms bring policy-based optimization to cloud management, resource allocation, migrations and maintenance reservations.
In-Q-Tel is also investing in a rechargeable battery manufacturer to see how intelligence agencies can use zinc-based battery technology.
