CACI International Inc. hired close to 900 veterans during fiscal year 2012, a record number for the company during a single fiscal year, according to a Tuesday announcement.
Twenty-two percent of the company’s 15,000-strong workforce are veterans, with 1,000 hired through a CACI program focused on recruiting disabled veterans.
The company also provides veterans an internal mentoring program for veterans and education to help them adjust to their new jobs, Chief Operating Officer John Mengucci said in a release.
CACI has two programs in place for hiring veterans, with one encouraging employees to get involved in events and activities related to recruiting veterans and another which pairs employees who are veterans with service members re-entering the workforce.
CivilianJobs.com named the company a “Most Valuable Employer“ for the military in 2012, G.I. Jobs recently selected CACI as a top military employer for the fourth year in a row and Military Times’ EDGE publication recently called CACI a “Best for Vets“ employer.
