Raytheon Co. has unveiled a new missile defense system architectural analysis tool to help determine how NATO assets can be best used to support Europe“™s integrated air and missile defense capabilities, the company announced Monday.

Raytheon said the analysis tool was built through the company“™s experience and knowledge with sensors, command and control and interceptors within the current European Phased Adaptive Approach construct.

Wes Kremer, vice president of Air and Missile Defense Systems for Raytheon Missile Systems, said, “We“™ve conducted a thorough analysis of U.S. missile defense system assets in Europe, and we understand how to position sensors and interceptors to achieve maximum protection for our allies.“

The flexible analysis tool can incorporate missile defense system elements into various mission scenarios, according to Raytheon.

Kremer added that this new capability demonstrates how NATO assets can be optimized to strengthen air and missile defense systems within Europe.
