
The National Contract Management Association has named Michael Fischetti, JD, CPCM, as executive director, officially taking the position on July 9, 2012.
The NCMA is a professional resource in the field of contract management and the organization“™s committee for the executive director search was led by Elliott Branch, the organization“™s president.
Fischetti most recently served with the Defense“™s office of the assistant secretary as director for acquisition management and support.
He also served in the Energy Department as director at the office of procurement and assistance policy and has held several other senior leadership positions.
According to Charlie Chadwick, Fellow, past president of the NCMA, Fischetti was chosen because of his extensive record as a leader in the acquisition community, as well as his extensive service and familiarity with the association and his vision for the group and the profession.
Chadwick added that they are fortunate to welcome Fischetti as the new executive director and that Fischetti“™s experience in the association“™s board of directors and his career in the U.S. government will help the association continue in their mission to advance the contract management profession.
