Boeing Hopes L-3, General Dynamics Helicopter Team Brings $2B to Canada; Jim O'Neill Comments - top government contractors - best government contracting eventBoeing has awarded subcontracts to L-3 Communications‘ MAS subsidiary and General Dynamics Canada for test equipment and maintenance training on Chinook helicopters in Canada, Boeing announced Wednesday.

Boeing expects this partnership to bring approximately $2 billion to Canada over the next 20 years through the country’s industrial and regional benefits policy.

The company is looking to add to more performance-based logistics customers worldwide, said Jim O“™Neill, vice president and general manager for integrated logistics.

Jeff Trauberman, Boeing’s vice president of space, intelligence and missile defense systems, recently spoke with ExecutiveBiz on the growing importance of international collaboration in the company (click here to read more of his comments).

L-3 MAS, who also holds a contract to make technical publications, will provide support and test equipment and GD Canada will deliver a maintenance training suite.

General Dynamics Canada has gained experience in courseware development and training devices by developing and managing in-service support programs, said David Ibbetson, a vice president and general manager.
