QinetiQ North America will provide cybersecurity services to a Transportation Department research and development center, the company announced Tuesday.
Work under theĀ $4.7 million task order includes evaluating cybersecurity tools and techniques and developing standards for security systems.
Analysts and engineers will address cybersecurity requirements, evaluate cyber tools and techniques and develop standards for building systems.
They will also define technological requirements for systems and controls and analyze potential cyber threats and risks to critical infrastructures.
This award is the first order under the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center’s V-TRIPS contract.
Earlier this month, the company was named a subcontractor under a $3 billion communications equipment contract with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
