Joseph Greeves, GeoEye

Joseph Greeves is executive vice president and chief financial officer at GeoEye, where since 2009 he has been responsible for financial planning, corporate finance, accounting, fiscal reporting and public company disclosure requirements.

For a combined 20 years, he served as CFO for four different publicly-traded firms and worked with entrepreneurs and management teams to build businesses, raise capital, and grow shareholder value.

Prior to GeoEye, he served as executive vice president and CFO at Managed Object Solutions Inc., where he helped the CEO build the business, grow the worldwide sales organization and led its capital raising and merger and acquisition programs. That company sold IT visualization software to commercial and government customers and was acquired by Novell in the fall of 2008. Before joining Managed Objects, he served as CFO executive-in-residence for Lazard Technology Partners.

Before Lazard, he served for three years as senior vice president and CFO for OPNET Technologies Inc., a high-tech software development and consulting services business. According to OPNET, he led the company through its initial public offering, which created more than $400 million in market capitalization. He has also served as CFO for Fusion Systems Corp. and Ogden Environmental and Energy Services, a division of Ogden Corp.

The University of Maryland alum is a certified public accountant started his career as an audit manager at Touche Ross & Co., now known as Deloitte & Touche.
